Salute to Women in AFP: Sen. Risa Hontiveros joins Sen. Imee Marcos in commending women military officers whose nomination and ad interim appointments were confirmed Wednesday, September 30, 2020, by the Commission on Appointments (CA). Among the 15 senior officers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) confirmed by the CA are Brig. Gen. Sharon Gernale and Army Col. Belinda Ganotice. “It’s specially a proud moment for us women legislators to be able to congratulate and embrace and salute, a snappy and sweet salute, a sister in the government service and Armed Forces,” Hontiveros said during the hybrid meeting.
