Sotto urges for 10-hour turnaround time: Senate President Vicente Sotto III conveys a request from the audio visual production outfits to reduce the standard 12-hour turnaround time for the film industry to a 10-hour turnaround time since performers and crew members are locked in until the wrap of a production. Turnaround time refers to the rest period from the time a performer is dismissed until the first call for the next day. Sotto also requested officials of the Department of Labor and Employment to include a post-production swab test for all performers and crew members in the agency’s new Joint Administrative Order guidelines. “The production outfits require all performers and crew members to take a swab test. But I hope you can include in your guidelines for them to take another swab test before they go home so their families would be protected,” Sotto said during the DOLE’s proposed budget deliberations for 2021 Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
