Hijab Troopers: Sen. Risa Hontiveros commends Air Force Col. Armand Mampusi during the deliberation of the Commission on Appointments on the ad interim appointment and nomination of senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Wednesday, December 9, 2020, for initiating and implementing the Hijab troopers. Composed of women soldiers wearing the traditional Muslim hijab, the troopers offered cultural and psychosocial services in Marawi City. They were also deployed to core areas in the National Capital Region particularly in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela (CAMANAVA) as well as the Maharlika Village in 2018.
