Metro Manila to shoulder vaccination of constituents: Sen. Cynthia A. Villar on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, says local government units in Metro Manila could shoulder the inoculation of half of their constituents and they are willing to spend for the vaccines, even to the point of borrowing money from the Land Bank of the Philippines. Villar said there are many big businesses in Metro Manila who are willing to pitch in for the cost of vaccines. “The local government in Metro Manila, I think they can afford to vaccinate their people, with the help also of the business (sector) because there are plenty of big companies in Metro Manila.
