Sotto Presides Over 3rd COW Hearing: Senate President Vicente Sotto III, presiding over the third hybrid hearing of the Committee of the Whole, reiterates the primordial intent of the committee, “which is mainly to find out the roadmap of the government’s national vaccination program.” Sotto also disclosed that he, together with Senators Panfilo Lacson and Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, met with vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. “And as I have already stated, I believe that the executive department and we, are both looking for what is for the greater good of our people. We, the members of the Senate, do not favor any particular brand of vaccines, but we favor a vaccine, or any vaccine, that is correctly priced, properly procured, and distributed,” Sotto said Friday, January 22, 2021.
