Why do we still don’t have vaccine rollout?: Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, during the interpellation period on Senate Bill No. (SBN) 2057, An Act Expediting the Procurement and Administration of Vaccines for the Protection Against the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19), asks Sen. Sonny Angara, sponsor of the measure, why the country has not yet rolled out its COVID-19 vaccine. “Many are baffled by our situation… Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar already had their vaccine rollout,” Drilon said, during Wednesday’s hybrid plenary session, February 17, 2021. Angara replied he is one with Drilon in wishing that the country could move faster in securing vaccines but noted that moving quickly has always been a challenge. “I wish I had all the answers but in this case, I think it is important we do all we can to speed up the process and I think this measure will definitely speed up the process,” Angara said.
