Amending Veterans Bank Charter: Sen. Grace Poe, chairperson of the Committee on Banks, Financial Institutions and Currencies, continues her defense of Senate Bill No. (SBN) 2368 which seeks to revise the charter of the Philippines Veterans Bank. Poe, during a hybrid plenary session Monday, September 6, 2021, said SBN 2368 expands the definition of veterans to include not only World War II veterans as beneficiaries, among others. “I mean it's really pretty straightforward, aside from increasing the capitalization and also amending a few things, so that it will be compliant with the Revised Corporation Code, and other pertinent laws,” Poe said.
