Risa sponsors Parent Effectiveness Service Program Act: Sen. Risa Hontiveros, chairperson of the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality, sponsors Senate Bill No. 2399 or the Parent Effectiveness Service Program Act. During Monday’s hybrid plenary session September 20, 2021, Hontiveros said the bill seeks to give the country’s parents and guardians the support needed in raising the next generation of Filipinos. “With this bill, we help our parents and guardians get essential information that we may not get directly from other parents or friends. Sometimes we may need a bit more technical or legal knowledge when it comes to keeping our children safe from online sexual abuse or exploitation, for example,” Hontiveros said.
