Angara hears OVP proposed 2022 budget: Finance Subcommittee A chairperson Sen. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara presides over a virtual hearing on the proposed 2022 budget of the Office of the Vice President Tuesday, September 21, 2021. In her presentation, Vice President Leni Robredo said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) allotted P713.14 million for OVP’s 2022 budget, down by 21 percent from her office’s budget of P900 million this year. Angara said the Senate might increase OVP’s budget for next year. “The National Expenditure Program (NEP) submitted by DBM for 2021 was approximately P700 million and the Senate increased it to P900 million or so. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that we will probably do the same because we have seen you made wise use of your budget and you had a kind of multiplier effect by partnering with so many organizations,” Angara said.
