Blue Ribbon hearing on Covid funds utilization: Sen. Richard J. Gordon presides over the continuation of the Blue Ribbon Committee inquiry into expenditures related to the fight against Covid-19 Tuesday, October 19, 2021. At the outset, Gordon thanked everyone for “the overwhelming, outpouring of support, information and words of encouragement in this search for the truth.” He cited Bloomberg’s Covid Resilience Ranking report, which stated that the Philippines is the worst place to be in this time of Covid-19 and the Nikkei Asia Covid-19 Recovery Index, which placed the Philippines last among 121 countries. “It is clear that government’s pandemic response is not effective.
