Drilon moves to detain Pharmally executives: Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, during Tuesday’s virtual hearing of the Blue Ribbon Committee on the budget utilization of the Department of Health, particularly its expenditures on its COVID-19 programs, moves to declare the Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. president and treasurer, Twinkle Dargani and Mohit Dargani, respectively in contempt and be detained at the Senate premises. “I move that Mohit Dargani and Twinkle Dargani be declared in contempt for their refusal to comply with the subpoena and subpoena duces tecum for the production of the documents the committee requested. Let Mr. Dargani question us in court. We are willing to stand by this,” Drilon said Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He also requested the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms to personally serve the subpoena to Pharmally accountant Jeff Mariano in the stated address who, he said, has continued to refuse and accept the subpoena. Subpoena duces tecum refers to a writ ordering a person to attend a court and bring relevant documents. (Screen grab/Senate PRIB)
