On DOH unfilled positions: Sen. Joel Villanueva, during the continuation of the virtual hearing on the proposed 2022 budget of the Department of Health and its attached agencies Wednesday, October 20, 2021, asks Health Sec. Francisco Duque III to update the committee on DOH’s unfilled positions and emergency hires they would need for next year. According to Duque, there are still around 14,241 unfilled positions with a budgetary cost of P9 billion. He said most of the unfilled plantilla positions are for physicians.
