Tolentino: Mini-Olympics to foster camaraderie, friendship, and a better Senate: Majority Leader Francis ‘Tol’ Tolentino graces the opening ceremony of the Senate Mini-Olympics at the GSIS Gymasium in Pasay City on Wednesday, October 2. The event is part of the series of activities in celebration of the Senate’s 108th anniversary. “I hope this sports competition will not just foster camaraderie and friendship among various offices, but more so, produce a greater Senate under Senate President Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero,” said Tolentino in his message to Senate employees. The majority leader also highlighted the chamber’s accomplishments under Escudero’s leadership, particularly the passage of 155 bills. The annual sports festival will feature competitions on the following events: basketball; men and women’s volleyball; badminton; chess; table and lawn tennis; darts; golf; swimming; bowling; billiards; cornhole; group dance competition; and the ‘Best Muse’ search.
