Senate employees lauded for hard work: Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the employees of the Senate, crediting them for his accomplishments in the past five years in office. Speaking during a flag ceremony Monday, October 7, 2024, Go underscored the crucial role the Senate staff had played in his success in passing significant legislation. “Success in passing bills as a senator wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of the Senate employees. I sincerely thank each and every one of you. I assure you that my office is always open. You can treat me as your co-worker in the government. We are all working together for the betterment of our country,” Go said in Filipino. As chairperson of the Committees on Health and Demography, and Sports, Go authored and co-authored 32 laws and sponsored and co-sponsored 172 measures, including 69 laws on the upgrading and establishment of hospitals. The senator also advocated sports development in the country. Go highlighted the tireless work and commitment of the Senate personnel, acknowledging them as the pillars of the institution. Despite the challenges employees face in their daily work, Go said each must continue to work together to build a successful nation. (Senate Public Relations and Information Bureau)
