UNTV Cup an annual charity league: Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go congratulates the Senate Sentinels basketbal team for winning its historic back-to-back championship in the recent UNTV Cup Executive Face-Off. In his co-sponsorship speech Monday, November 4, 2024, on Senate Resolution No. 1209 commending the Senate Sentinels for winning its second consecutive championship in UNTV Cup, filed by Senate President Francis “Chiz” G. Escudero, Go said the UNTV Cup is not just a basketball league but an annual charity league where government agencies come together not just to compete in the sport of basketball but also to contribute in noble causes. “Through this league, we show that government service extends beyond our usual duties as it reaches to our communities, providing support and hope to those in need,” the senator said. This year, the Senate Sentinels defeated the AFP Cavaliers with a score of 74-62 in the finals held at Smart Araneta last September 30, 2024. in July 2023, the Senate Sentinels won its first UNTV Cup Executive Face-Off title when it triumphed over the PNP Responders, 81-72. the PI million cash prize won by the Senate Sentinels will benefit Cancervants PH, Tahanang Walang Hagdanan Inc., and Kythe Foundation Inc.
