Villanueva supports 2025 budget: Sen. Joel Villanueva co-sponsors the General Appropriations Bill (House Bill No. 10800) as he expresses his full support for the 2025 proposed budget. “In the midst of many trials and challenges faced by our workers, whether local or abroad, we are making sure that our budget next year will meet the needs of our countrymen,” Villanueva said during Tuesday’s plenary session, November 5, 2024. “All in all, we support the FY 2025 General Appropriations Bill and its immediate passage this year. We support the administration's aim of ensuring that we meet our economic growth targets, but always taking into account how the budget can change people's lives,” he added. Villanueva, as a senior vice chairperson of the Committee on Finance, reviewed the budget of various government agencies, especially the Department of Migrant Workers and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
