The EBET Framework Act: Sen. Joel Villanueva underscores the importance of the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Framework Act for the Filipinos after President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos signed it into law. “EBET will help not just create jobs but create a decent and sustainable jobs. We institutionalize the entire enterprise-based program, we came up with clear cut guidelines,” Villanueva, author and sponsor of Senate Bill No 2587, said during Thursday’s deliberations, November 7, 2024 of the 2025 national budget. “One of the important components of EBET Act is the one-stop shop that would be able to attend and look into the program to make sure that our learners will not be abused,” he added. Aside from enhancing the skills of the workforce in partnership with the private sector, the newly signed law will strengthen, rationalize, and harmonize the various EBET training modalities under one framework. The EBET Framework Act is an important legislation seeking to improve the employability of the workforce by institutionalizing the enterprise-based education and training system in collaboration with the private sector.
