JAMBY: ROSEMOOR a.k.a. SOLAR-1,
AN ENVIRONMENT TIMEBOMB

I challenge the Office of the President to cancel the Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) of Rosemoor Development Corporation (RMDC) in San Miguel, Barangay Kalawakan, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan. This MPSA encroaches on land part of the Biak na Bato National Park. The continuing existence of this agreement with Rosemoor is legally and morally repulsive.

If the Office of the President is in good faith and not protecting perceived shadowy forces behind Rosemoor, there is no choice but to cancel the MPSA.

The MPSA will not only result in the denudation of environment. If allowed to operate, this will result in frequent landslides, abnormal flooding, desecration of a national historical site, and the displacement of the indigenous peoples dumagats in the area.

Hindi po natin dapat isakrapisyo ang interes ng nakakarami para sa interes ng iilan. A mining license is not a right, but a privilege.
