Senate Majority Leader and Independent senator Kiko Pangilinan today condemned in the strongest terms possible the "desperate and illegal" action made by the agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after it raided the office of former PhilForest President and ZTE key witness Rodolfo "Jun" Lozada.

Kiko said. Allegedly, upon the orders of Department of Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez, agents from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) yesterday swooped down the PhilForest office of ZTE key witness Rodolfo "Jun" Lozada. Gonzalez said he instructed the NBI to secure all the tapes and transcripts of Lozada's Senate testimony, he said the transcripts would be used for a DOJ investigation on government officials involved in the aborted $329-million National Broadband Network deal.

Kiko ended.
