MYSTERIOUS DEATH IN DUBAI
OFW's remains arrive in the country

The remains of overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Jeffrey Alberto So from Las Piñas, who died under mysterious circumstances in Dubai , arrived in the country last night.

So, 25, arrived in Dubai on June 13 and reportedly committed suicide by leaping from the fourth floor of a building on June 24, merely 11 days after his arrival in the United Arab Emirates .

The remains of the OFW were brought to Funeraria Filipinas for autopsy, as his family is seriously suspecting foul play in his death.

Earlier, So's family asked the help of the office of Senate President Manny Villar in terms of legal assistance. Villar's lawyer accompanied So's family members in fetching the remains at the airport.

Villar has pledged legal support to the case of So, as he pushed for an investigation of the real circumstances behind the sudden death of the young overseas worker.

"We grieve with the family of our OFW and demand to know the real circumstances behind his demise which occurred shortly after his arrival in a foreign land where he aspired to make a mark," Villar, Nacionalista President, said.

The family of So was able to contact the office of Villar through his OFW helpline 09174226800.
