ON OPPOSITION DISUNITY AND 2010 ...

"Rather than view it as a battle between administration and opposition come 2010, I believe that for our nation to move forward, we need to redraw the battle lines and frame 2010 as a battle between those representing 'politics as usual' and those espousing the politics and reform and meaningful change. Will it be change or more of the same? Clearly the choice must be for genuine change."

"We must move away from personality politics and move towards politics of programs. We must redraw the political landscape. There is very little distinction now between the administration and the opposition in terms of what these groups have to offer to the people. At the rate the personalities so easily move from administration to opposition and vice versa, there seems to be very little distinction between the two camps."

"If we are to usher in genuine reforms, we must work towards providing alternatives to both the administration and the traditional opposition. A third force, neither administration nor opposition, a genuine alternative to 'politics as usual' must be put in place."
