KIKO PANGILINAN CRITICIZES LAKAS-KAMPI MERGER,
"Based on its record, the administration will be hard-pressed to convince the voters that it deserves six more years," says independent senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan. "They represent more of the same, and more of the same has not worked." Pangilinan adds that if the 2007 elections is any indication, machinery and resources alone will not ensure the victory of the administration party in 2010. "The only way to defeat money politics is for the people to rise up and stage an electoral revolt. If we are to see change happening in our lifetime, then 2010 must be the year the voters take their revenge on non-performing politicians and the parties they represent. We cannot afford another six years of non-accountable, abusive, and failed political leadership." |
