ROCK MUSICIANS PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH;
GO OUT AND REGISTER

After rocking the residents of Baranggay Tatalon in the Rock the Vote concert, members of the biggest rock acts in the country go out to practice what they preached.

"Napag-usapan namin ni Chito (Miranda, of Parokya ni Edgar) na magpaparehistro talaga kami para sa darating na eleksiyon," says Kamikazee vocalist Jay Contreras. "Iba talaga pag me anak ka na e. Naisip ko talaga na kumilos para sa kinabukasan ng anak ko."

Joining Contreras and Miranda are fellow musicians Luke Mejares and Parokya ni Edgar guitarist Gab Cheekee. All artists played at Baranggay Tatalon for the Rock the Vote concert, a production of the Register and Vote advocacy group, urging Filipinos to go out and register for the 2010 national elections.

The Register and Vote (RV) bus earlier brought Tatalon residents to the COMELEC Registration center in Quezon City Hall. The RV is expected to roll on through Naga, Cebu, Pampanga, Zamboanga, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Pangasinan, and the campaign may possibly go abroad for overseas absentee voters.
