"HINDI MATITINAG ANG LIBERAL"
GOV'T 'S HARASSMENT CASES FAIL TO STOP EXODUS TO LP

The ranks of the Liberal Party continue to grow as more reform-oriented local officials and candidates joined the Liberal Party today despite recent efforts by the Arroyo Administration to harass those who have joined the party's 2010 campaign.

The newly-sworn in Liberals include Hilario Davide III of Cebu, Jaime Fresnedi of Muntinlupa, Siegfred Tinga of Taguig-Pateros, together with more than 200 local officials and candidates from all over the nation such as Cebu, Cavite, Nueva Ecija, Oriental Mindoro and Metro Manila.

Sa atin naman, tuloy ang laban (This fight for change will not be easy. The existing regime will do everything so that they can continue to lord over our country. They want their good times to continue. But for us, we will continue to fight)," LP President and vice presidential candidate Senator Mar Roxas.

LP standard-bearer and Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III said the fight will not be easy, but he said unity will lead to victory of the reform movement. Liberal, noon at ngayon, marangal. (It's a different feeling when we are with our allies in reform; it really strengthens your resolve. It will be about time that we will have a Philippines that we all deserve. We liberals, yesterday and today, are honorable)," he stressed.

The Arroyo administration has engaged in a blitzkrieg against Liberals in the local arena by having them disqualified through a division of the Commission on Elections. Ramon Magsaysay Awardee and Isabela Governor Grace Padaca and Bulacan Governor Joselito Mendoza were the first victims of this blitzkrieg, and similar actions are being anticipated against Pampanga Governor Among Ed Panlilio and Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo.

We will not be intimidated. Even as our allies are being pressured by the administration, we will continue to fight for a clean and honest government," LP Chairman and senatorial candidate Franklin Drilon said.

Lalaban tayo (we should not be cowed or deceived by the government's tactics. We will continue the fight for a clean and honest government, over the present one that is crooked and corrupt. We will not abandon each other. Our fight wages on)," Roxas stressed.
