Press Release January 19, 2010 Transcript of ambush interview with Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile Q: Sir, kung sabihin nila na pinupolitika lang si Senator Villar tapos maraming pending bills ang madadamay. SP: Anong politika dun? Kailangan ng matapos ang kaso. Kelan mo pa ipa-file ang report? Hindi ko naman pwede i-file after the election. It has to be filed now. Q: Sir, please clarify lang po 'yung sinabi ninyo sa maneuver of some sort. SP: Well, not to have any business of the nation of some sort that we cannot discuss sensitive matters like the committee report. Q: Bakit allergic sir? SP: I'll call it for what it is. I think there is an effort to prevent the consideration of the committee report on the case of Senator Villar. For what reason? Each one can guess. The obvious is I think loud and clear. They do not want the public to hear what is contained in the report. Q: Meron bang fear that they will do this until the last session day? SP: I am not afraid of anybody here. Q: Sir, will you force the senators to have a quorum? SP: We will come to that when we have to. Q: So the moment you get a quorum, naka-ready na ang committee report and you will take it up? SP: I hope they will not underestimate my notion of what a President of a Chamber like this can do. Q: Can you direct the OSAA to account for them? SP: We will see. Q: Sir, bakit hindi available si Senator Lacson? SP: Well, he just informed me that he is not attending the session. |
