NOY-MAR DOMINATE MOCK POLLS IN BOHOL, DAVAO, CAVITE
PUBLIC BACKS CAMPAIGN VS CORRUPTION, ROTTEN SYSTEM

Pre-election mock polls and surveys in different parts of the country continue to boost the campaign for reform and good governance of Liberal Party standard-bearers Senators Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas.

Aquino and Roxas thumped their rivals for president and vice president, respectively, in separate surveys and mock polls held in Bohol, Davao City and Dasmariñas in Cavite - a mirror of their good performances also in surveys conducted by independent polling firms, like the Social Weather Station and the Pulse Asia.

In the survey conducted by the Holy Name University Research Center among Boholanos, Aquino was the top pick of 44% of respondents while Roxas was the choice of 43%. They both enjoyed double-digit leads over their rivals.

The two LP candidates also won in the mock polls held among personnel and students of the Ateneo de Davao University last March 13 and 15. Aquino had a 46.95 percentage rating, while Roxas was the clear favorite of 67.17% of the respondents.

Also in the mock polls held at the De La Salle University in Dasmariñas, Cavite, from February 1 to March 5, Aquino and Roxas were the runaway winners, garnering 44.39% and 50.98%, respectively. The survey was conducted among DLSU-Dasmariñas students, faculty members and staff.

In the Bohol province-wide survey, perpetual second-placer Manuel Villar got 24%, which is 20% lower than the percentage standing of Aquino. Administration candidate Gilbert Teodoro got 6%.

In the vice presidential race, Roxas led over Loren Legarda by a huge 24% after the latter got only 19% of the votes. Administration bet and actor Edu Manzano got only 3%.

In the AdDU mock polls, Aquino led over his cousin Teodoro, who placed second with 34.33%; Sen. Richard Gordon, 7.6%; Manuel Villar, 4.05% and former President Joseph Estrada, 3.05%.

Roxas lorded it at the vice presidential mock polls with his 67.17% rating. Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay followed with a measly 15.77%, and then by former MMDA chief Bayani Fernando with 7.5%. Loren Legarda got a miserly 4.0%

The DLSU-Dasmariñas mock polls reflected similar results. Aquino was the choice of a total of 44.39% of the respondents, composed of faculty members, students and personnel. He was followed by Teodoro with 18.52%; Gordon, 13.48%; Villar, 11.98%; Bro. Eddie Villanueva, 4.34%; and Estrada, 3.76%.

Roxas won by a landslide in the vice presidential mock elections with his 50.98% rating. At second spot with a meager 23.21% was Binay, followed by Fernando with 11.11%. Legarda got a paltry 8.80% rating, and last was Manzano with 2.49%.
