"As Chair of the Senate health committee hearing the Reproductive Health (RH) Bill, I look forward to receiving an official copy of the Palace's version of the measure, the Responsible Parenthood (RP) Bill, which we could consider in our ongoing deliberations.

"This is certainly a positive step towards addressing the alarmingly high rates of maternal and infant deaths in our country. Pres. Noynoy Aquino deserves credit for being consistent and steadfast in his position to give Filipino couples the right to be informed on family planning and to freely choose the method they deem as most appropriate to their situation."
