Trillanes heads to Mindanao for consultation

Senator Antonio "Sonny" F. Trillanes IV will hold a two-day consultation with his constituents in Mindanao as part of a series of meetings to touch base with his supporters.

"Holding public office is not a one-man show. Hence, it has been my personal policy to pursue participative and consultative leadership by maintaining open communication channels to our constituents," said Trillanes.

According to Trillanes, the general assembly serves as an avenue to discuss the concerns of the people and identify possible solutions, as well take the opportunity to personally express gratitude to his supporters.

Senator Trillanes is to meet the Samahang Magdalo Davao chapters on Friday during a general assembly and then proceed to General Santos City, where the organization has at least 14 local chapters.

Trillanes is also scheduled to meet with will local government officials, Church leaders and the local media.

The Mindanao consultation is the final leg of the series of meetings with the Samahang Magdalo. During the previous weeks of this month, Trillanes conducted similar consultations with his constituents in the Visayas and Luzon.

The Samahang Magdalo is a socio-civic organization established on November 28, 2008 by Magdalo, a group of reformist officers and men of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
