STATEMENT ON RUMORED SENATE COUP

"Certain published reports quote a Senate source naming me as possibly one of the Senators allegedly behind the ouster of Senate President (SP) Juan Ponce Enrile (JPE).

"I have not been approached nor have any participation in any effort to remove JPE as SP. Wala akong alam diyan sa sinasabi ng source na 'yan, and frankly, hindi ko alam kung bakit nila ginagamit ang pangalan ko sa tsismis na yan."

"I am dumbfounded as to where this supposed source gets his information. Just goes to show that sometimes, sources have no basis for their statements and just want to be sensational."
