Maharlika Village Muslim community dubs Cayetano their senator of choice

"We support candidates who are focused on lowering prices, creating jobs, and increasing wages and are true champions in protecting the rights of the Muslim community as well as in promoting the achievement of peace in Mindanao. Senator Alan will lead this fight poverty and for peace."

This was the statement given today by the Muslim community led by Brgy. Captain Yasser Pangandaman of Maharlika Village and members of the Muslim Royal Family as they named Senator Alan Cayetano as one of their senators of choice in the upcoming national elections.

They praised Cayetano's PTK plan -- lower prices, creating jobs, and increasing wages -- and his determined push for the government to stay firm in its conduct of the peace talks in Mindanao as well as his fair and honest treatment of the Muslim community in Taguig City. "We were impressed by Senator Alan's nontraditional campaign. He traveled the country on a nationwide listening tour where he saw firsthand how important it is to fight to lower prices, create jobs, and increase wages," Brgy. Captain Pangandaman said.

For his part, Cayetano expressed his gratitude for the trust bestowed on him by the community he dubs as the "perfect example of how the country should be - a community where Muslims and Christians live together in unity."

"I am thankful for the support given to me by the Muslim community and I vow to push for more livelihood opportunities for our Muslim brothers and to find ways to ensure long lasting peace in Mindanao by addressing the problems of poverty through my PTK: Presyo, Trabaho,Kita platform," Cayetano said.

The group also endorsed Cayetano's fellow Team PNoy candidates Koko Pimentel, Sonny Angara, Risa Hontiveros, Cynthia Villar, and independent candidate Bro. Eddie Villanueva.
