Former KBs Say VP Fight In The City of Manila
Is Over--Bongbong Is The Winner

The Vice Presidential election is still six months from now but it's "over" in the City of Manila and Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is the winner.

This is as far as the former Kabataang Barangay (KB) Officers and Members, who gathered last Saturday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of KB at the Palma Hall of the Universidad de Manila, are concerned.

"Siya (Marcos) na ang ating Bise Presidente. Mayroon pa bang tatalo sa ating Bise Presidente? Tapos na po ang laban dito sa Maynila," Virgilio Eustaqio, a former KB and Current Director of the Barangay Bureau of the City of Manila proclaimed.

Beth Jose Nazario, the President of the Kabataang Barangay Alumni Association, Inc., Manila Chapter announced, "Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada and former KB members will make Marcos number one in the city."

"Sa tulong po ni Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada, ang Maynila po ay buong inyo (Marcos). Gagawin po naming number one ang Maynila sa pagiging Bise Presidente ninyo," she assured.

Marcos, who was the Special Guest of Honor during the anniversary-reunion attended by more than 500 KB alumni, expressed his profuse gratitude for the overwhelming support of the group to his Vice Presidential bid.

In his speech, Marcos said one of the characteristics of the KB is the dedication to serve the public, "Ang isang katangian over the years na talagang kitang-kita ko, lahat ng dumaan ng KB ay tuluy-tuloy pa rin na nasa serbisyo publiko in some way or another either naging Governor o naging Senador or nasa iba't ibang mga posisyon sa gobyerno."

KB was established in 1975 by the late President Ferdinand Marcos, Father and namesake of the Senator, and had served as a strong voice of the youth sector in the government.

Marcos urged the group to set aside politics once the elections are over and be instrumental in uniting the whole country as he hit the present leaders of the government for continuously dividing the people for the sake of politics.

"Ang pulitika ay may lugar. Dapat pagkatapos ng halalan, pagkatapos ng proklamasyon ay i-isantabi na muna natin ang pamumulitika at unahin natin sa ating pag-iisip kung paano pagagandahin ang Pilipinas...Let the unity, let the healing begin here," Marcos concluded.
