Sen. Marcos Thanks Supporters Pushing For ALDUB But Reaffirms Partnership With Santiago

While he and Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte have chosen their respective running mates for the 2016 elections, Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos, Jr. today said he is extremely grateful to supporters who are still pushing for their partnership.

A group pushing for ALDUB or the "Alyansang Duterte-Bongbong" was among those who trooped to the Commission on Elections last Tuesday when Duterte filed his certificate of candidacy for the Presidency.

"I have categorically stated who my President is, and that is Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago," Marcos reiterated.

The Senator earlier admitted that he had sought Duterte's support and endorsement but that all changed when the Davao Mayor decided to cast his hat in the presidential race.

Marcos however said, he respects the view of some of his supporters who believe in Duterte.

"I have to respect their choice. That's part of our democratic process, allowing voters to choose the leaders they want. I am grateful and humbled by their continued support and trust," said Marcos concluded.
