CHIZ: POE TO RUN A GOVERNMENT THAT SERVES EVERYONE

Should they get elected next year, vice-presidential candidate Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero said that he and his presidential running mate Sen. Grace Poe will run a government that serves everyone equally regardless of one's political leaning.

Escudero said that under the Poe presidency, all local government units--provinces, cities and municipalities--will have equal access to development projects whether their leaders are political allies or not.

"Ang susunod po na magiging pangulo at pangalawang-pangulo ay dapat pagsilbihan ng pantay ang bawat Pilipino--kapartido man o hindi, kakampi man o hindi, binoto man sila o hindi, gusto man sila o hindi," Escudero said in his speech during a peace and order conference held in Tarlac City recently.

The vice-presidential frontrunner assured that Poe will not be vengeful despite the discrimination, harassment and vilification she suffered from her critics and political opponents.

"Dapat tumigil na ang sistema sa ating bansa kung saan kapag ikaw ay kapartido, may proyekto ka. At kung ikaw ay kalaban, may kaso ka," Escudero said.

Since they are running under the platform of inclusive growth, Escudero said he and Poe will make sure that everyone will reap the benefits of economic development and no one will be left behind.

"Dapat ay pantay ang pagtingin sa bawat isa. Walang pinipili ang kahirapan kaya wala rin dapat piliin ang kaunlaran at ang pag-unlad," he pointed out.

Both topnotchers in the 2013 senatorial elections, Poe and Escudero have decided to remain as independent candidates because they want to maintain their loyalty to the Filipino people and not to a particular political party.
