POE VOWS FAIR TREATMENT FOR ALL

ANGELES CITY, PAMPANGA--Bringing her campaign to Pampanga, presidential race frontrunner Sen. Grace Poe vowed to give all Filipinos equal opportunities and access to social services, whether they are political allies or opponents.

"Hindi ako tinuruan ng aking tatay na maging benggatibo," Poe said at a political rally in Angeles City. "Ang aking ama, simple lang ang itinuro sa akin--maging tapat at matulungin sa kapwa. Hindi ko po dudungisan ang kanyang pangalan."

The leading presidential candidate said her "Gobyernong may Puso" will serve all Filipinos, especially those who have been neglected by previous administrations. Her priorities will be to give free education for poor students, create jobs even for seniors and improve the Conditional Cash Transfer program of the government.

"Marami sa inyo ang nagtataka kung sa Gobyernong may Puso ba magpapatuloy ang 4Ps. Matitiis ba namin na kayo'y patuloy na maghirap? Natural ipagpapatuloy naming ang 4Ps, " Poe said.

Poe and her running mate, Sen. Francis Escudero, the country's top vice-presidential bet, were in Pampanga for the fourth week of their campaign. They were joined by the senatorial candidates under their coalition, Partido Galing at Puso.

They held town hall meetings and school visits in Apalit and San Fernando, speaking to students, local officials, employees and seniors the whole day. At 7 p.m., they took the stage and addressed supporters in Partido Galing at Puso's political rally in Angeles City's Plaza Miranda.

"Ang kulay namin ay puti. Wala kaming kulay dilaw man o pula o asul sapagkat lahat ng Pilipino, kaaway o kaibigan man namin sa pulitika--lahat ng nangangailangan ay aming tutulungan," Poe said.

"Dapat sa buhay, pantay-pantay ang pagtrato. Ang importante ay isang pinuno na pwede kayong maintindihan," she said.

As proof that she would be a unifying leader, Poe cited the senatorial slate of their coalition, which is composed of candidates from other parties and those who are running as independents.

"Ang aming slate iba-iba ang mga tao; iba-iba ang kanilang ipinaglalaban, pero lahat yun ay kailangan natin," she said. "Kahit magkasalungat pa minsan aming pananaw, ang dulo nito ay kung ano'ng makakabuti sa bayan ay 'yun ang masusunod."

The senator, the first foundling to run for president, said her candidacy represents all Filipinos who have been abandoned either by their families or their government.
