FORMER LP NOW INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES IN BULACAN
SUPPORT BONGBONG MARCOS

First they bolted the ruling Liberal Party. Now they are independent candidates supporting the vice presidential candidacy of Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr.

An entire local ticket in Marilao, Bulacan, formerly part of the LP, has welcomed to the town the "Unity Caravan" of Marcos and expressed their support to the senator. Led by re-electionist Marilao Mayor Tito Santiago, Marcos was welcomed to the municipal hall by members of his slate and municipal government staff.

Candidate for councilor Mark Guillermo confirmed that they left the LP but he did not elaborate. He said that Marcos will have no problem in the town as far as the senator's candidacy is concerned.

"Dati kaming LP. Walang problema si BBM (Marcos) dito sa amin dahil nasa kanya ang aming buong suporta," he said.

In his two-day sortie in Bulacan, Marcos motorcaded to barangays of Pulilan, Malolos, Calumpit, Plaridel, Baliuag, Bustos, Pandi, Angat, Norzaragay, Marilao, Meycauayan, Malolos and San Jose del Monte.

In his motorcade, Marcos was cheered on the people by with some dancing, to his campaign jingle that played continuously, while others waved his victory sign.

In Brgy. Kaypian, San Jose del Monte, Marcos called on some of the 1,000 residents who attended a forum organized by Filipino Bayan at Ako Movement and congressional candidate Rida Robes to join his crusade for national unity.

Marcos also paid courtesy call on incumbent local officials who expressed their support among them Meycauayan Vice Mayor Jojo Manzano and barangay officials, San Jose Del Monte City Mayor Reynaldo San Pedro and barangay officials and Norazaragay Vice Mayor Art Legaspi who is running for mayor.
