GRACE POE ONCE AGAIN WINS THE HEARTS
OF MINDORO FOLKS

GLORIA, Oriental Mindoro - Even before Presidential frontrunner Sen. Grace Poe laid down her platform of government, the standard bearer of Partido Galing at Puso expressed her gratitude over the warm welcome and acceptance of Mindorenos.

Poe thanked the people of Oriental Mindoro for their support and for giving her the winning votes in 2013 when she emerged as number one Senator with 20,337,327 votes.

In her speech, Poe vowed to build a 14-kilometer bridge connecting Oriental Mindoro and Batangas to heighten tourism and improve economic activities between people, particularly farmers and fishermen, from the two provinces.

She acknowledged the urgent need for the construction of the bridge so that farm and other agri products coming from Oriental Mindoro could be sold at a higher price in Batangas.

Poe assured that she would set aside funds, with the help and support of Congress, to fund the construction of bridge between the two provinces before the second half of her term.

"Kapag sinabi nila, kaya ba talaga yan?

There is a proposal to build a 14-kilometer bridge worth P18 billion which will connect Mindoro and Batangas. The planned "pontoon" or floating bridge will span across the Isla Verde Passage and will cross Verde Island.
