ANOTHER LP MEMBER VOWS SUPPORT FOR BONGBONG MARCOS

Vice Presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos has secured another endorsement from a member of the ruling Liberal Party.

Borongan City Mayor Ma. Agnes Abunda, a re-electionist of the ruling party, said she is not adopting the administration bet for the Vice Presidency because she is giving her full support to Marcos.

Abunda, sister of television host Boy Abunda, met with Marcos Monday morning at the Borongan City Hall and declared that she is supporting the Senator because of the good things that his late father, former President Ferdinand Marcos, had done for Region 8.

"Marcos talaga ako kasi madami natulungan at napatayo si President Marcos dito sa Region 8 katulad ng San Juanico Bridge na hanggang ngayon ay pinakikinabangan pa namin," Abunda said.

She further stated that the late President's son has also proven his own brand of public service through the many projects he has done not only for Ilocos Norte but also for the rest of the country.

Marcos then expressed appreciation to Abunda for her endorsement saying it meant so much to him considering that she is a member of the ruling party. "Ako'y nagpapasalamat sa suporta at taos-puso ko itong tinatanggap," he said.

Marcos had also earlier secured the support of the whole LP slate in Ormoc City as well as Leyte Rep. Lucy Torres Gomez, also an LP member, and her husband, actor Richard Gomez.

Meanwhile, Eastern Samar Governor Conrado Nicart also gave a warm welcome to Senator Marcos when he paid a courtesy call on the Local Chief Executive after his meeting with Abunda at the provincial capitol.

Nicart, another member of the Liberal Party, also hosted a gathering of around 1,000 local officials and civic leaders all over Eastern Samar at the provincial capitol for Marcos.

Nicart said he has always been a friend of the Romualdezes and the Marcoses.

Present during the event was Buena Garino, Municipal Coordinator of the municipality of Balang-ayan in Eastern Samar who said majority of Samarenos are voting for Marcos.

"Kami dito lahat Marcos kami kahit noon pa at kahit iba-iba ang Presidente namin, si Bongbong ang Vice President naming lahat," Garino declared.

During his speech, Marcos said he is inspired by the warm welcome he has been getting from all his sorties especially from the Samarenos. "Para talaga akong umuwi dahil sa sobrang init ng pagtanggap ninyo sa amin."
