FPJ GROUP ENDORSES BONGBONG MARCOS

A group identified with the late movie icon Fernando Poe Jr. endorsed the vice presidential bid of Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr.

In a meeting held Wednesday afternoon in Makati City, the partylist Partidong Bayan ang Bida (PBB) said Marcos embodies the group's advocacy for equality regardless of age, gender, religion and social status.

Cagsawan stated that Marcos should be credited for putting in the right perspective the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law by introducing a more comprehensive and inclusive measure in the Basic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BLBAR) that will usher in real peace and prosperity in Mindanao.

"Ito ang tunay na public servant na pag-asa ng ating bayan, ito si Senador Bongbong Marcos," the group raved as they repeatedly chanted the Senator's name.

PBB is composed of officers and members who were part of the FPJ for President Movement (FPJPM), the group that helped in the Presidential bid of the late actor in 2004.

Marcos, for his part, thanked the group for the endorsement saying he is overwhelmed and humbled by the show of support. He said he will work hard to spread his advocacy for national unity.

The Senator also stated that it is time the years of divisiveness end to bring back the era of nation-building.
