Trillanes has most number of national bills passed into law

As the 16th Congress ended, Senator Antonio "Sonny" F. Trillanes IV is the top performing Senator in terms of principally authoring and sponsoring the most number of national bills into law.

As of 6 June 2016, the last session day of Congress, Trillanes has 11 principally sponsored bills and 10 principally authored bills passed into law.

Most relevant of these laws which he principally authored or principally sponsored are the increase in Subsistence Allowance of soldiers and other uniformed personnel; Strategic Trade and Management Act; Increase in Burial Assistance for Veterans; Cabotage Law; declaration of Armed Forces of the Philippines Week; Social Work Law; Forestry Law; Chemistry Law; Nutrition and Dietetics Law; Metallurgical Engineering Law; and Farm Tourism Law.

Other bills which Trillanes principally sponsored or authored, and are awaiting the President's signature are the Comprehensive Nursing bill; Continuing Professional Development bill; Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering bill; Pharmacy bill; and AFP Derivative Pension for Children/Survivors bill.

In terms of number of principally sponsored laws, Trillanes is followed by Pia Cayetano with 8 bills passed into law; Sonny Angara and Bam Aquino with 6 bills each; and Cynthia Villar with 5 bills.

Meanwhile, following Trillanes in terms of number of principally authored laws are Loren Legarda and Ralph Recto with 4 bills each; and Sonny Angara, Frankllin Drilon, Jinggoy Ejercito-Estrada, Sergio Osmena III, Vicente Sotto III with 3 bills each.
