Villar cites the importance of "sipag at tiyaga"

Sen. Cynthia A. Villar has underscored anew the importance of sipag (industry) and tiyaga (patience) as the biggest investments in every aspect or field of life.

Speaking before the 100 trainees who completed the training courses under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), Villar said the additional knowledge they got would have them sustain their families.

The training was under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of TESDA with our partners Top Choice Training Institute and Assessment Center and NCST Institute of the Philippines in Las Piñas City.

"We are confident that having completed your courses on Contact Center Services, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC2, and Motorcycle Small Engine Servicing NC2, you will find better opportunities out there," Villar said.

"We are hoping for a better life for you and livelihood as a result of the new skills and knowhow that you have learned throughout your training," she added.

Like in Contact Center Services, Villar said there are many opportunities in the local Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) industry or call centers.

"Those who trained in small engine servicing-- there are many motorcycle owners, even in houses, you can accept or offer repair services. You can also work in an auto shop," explained Villar.

"Just be industrious and patient, you should succeed," further stated Villar who has been known for providing livelihood opportunities to all Filipinos nationwide.

She likewise said that Villar SIPAG Training Center would continuously offer training courses. She said there are also upcoming training new courses on Construction Painting NCII and Masonry NCII.

"Rest assured that we at Villar SIPAG and our partner-schools: NCST Institute Of The Philippines and Top Choice Training Institute & Assessment Center Inc., and also TESDA and DSWD, are here to support people like you to improve your lives."
