Villanueva's statement on the death of OFW Henry John Acorda

We grieve with the family of Henry John Serafica Acorda, a hero who risked his life to rescue two women from harassment.

We urge the DFA to work with our Slovakian counterpart to seek justice for this brutal murder. We also ask the POEA, OWWA, and the Philippine Consulate in Bratislava to provide all the necessary form of assistance for his family, especially on the repatriation of Mr. Acorda's remains.

Acorda's death is very unfortunate. We hope that this crime will not go unpunished.
