Statement of Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, Partido Liberal president, on Eid'l Adha

We join the Muslim community in the Philippines and around the world as they observe and celebrate Eid'l Adha.

This special occasion is a time to honor the sacrifice and commitment demonstrated by Abraham. It also marks the end of the pilgrimage of Hajj performed each year by millions of Muslims who journey to Mecca as a testament to their faith.

Many, especially after the Marawi siege, remain marginalized, deprived of justice, struggling with life's daily difficulties.

May this event inspire strength and tenacity among us to never give up and always find hope in the face of the uncertainties and hardships.

As a community, may we work united, practicing selflessness and compassion, so we would not be blind and deaf to the woes of our fellow men and women.
