Nancy's wish for bday, Mother's Day: long healthy life for loved ones

With her birthday coinciding with Mother's Day, Senator Nancy Binay wished for a long, healthy life for her loved ones.

"Unang-una, wish ko na humaba pa ang buhay nina mama at dad," Binay said, referring to her parents, former Makati Mayor Elenita S. Binay and former Vice President Jejomar C. Binay.

"I also wish the same for the rest of our clan, especially for my husband and children," she added. The senator has four children: Jose Benjamin Jejomar, 18 years old; Maria Eliana Faustina Angeles, 16; and 10-year old twins Juan Benedicto Adelio and Juan Benito Alejandro.

Binay will turn 46 on May 12.

She also hoped that after the May 13 elections, they as a family could start their healing process.

"I am praying and hoping that after the elections, pwede na kaming magsimula ng aming healing process, kaming buong pamilya," Binay said.

She also wished her only brother a happy Mother's Day, as he had stood as both mother and father to his four children when his wife, Mrs. Kennely Ann Lacia-Binay, died due to complications from a difficult pregnancy.

"I also wish Jun a Happy Mother's Day. Si Jun kasi matagal ng "Nay-Tay" sa kanyang apat na anak, so alam niya kung gaano kahirap na tumayong nanay at tatay," Binay said.
