Statement of Senator Joel Villanueva on the passing of former Senate sergeant-at-arms Gen. Jose Balajadia Jr.

We join our Senate family in mourning the loss of our beloved Senate sergeant-at-arms, retired Maj. Gen. Jose Balajadia Jr. He has served his country well, first as a pilot and ranking official of the Philippine Air Force, then as our institution's sergeant-at-arms. We offer our prayers to General Balajadia's bereaved family who are mourning the loss of their father. May the general's life and dedication to service to our country inspire our next generation of leaders.
