Dispatch from Crame No. 575:
Sen. Leila M. de Lima's Remarks on the Public Hearing of Senate Committee on Social Justice on Strengthening the Regulation of Social Welfare and Development Agencies and the Magna Carta for Child Daycare Workers

8/21/19

Yesterday, the Senate Committee on Social Justice, Welfare and Rural Development conducted a public hearing on two of our priority measures, namely, Senate Bill (SB) No. 380 or Strengthening the Regulation of Social Welfare and Development Agencies and SBN 184 or the Magna Carta for Child Daycare Workers (which I both filed), and two other related bills (SBN 120 and 299).

I thank our Vice Chairs, Sen. Nancy Binay and Sen. Imee Marcos, for presiding over the hearing, and all the resource persons who attended. I look forward to working with each of our colleagues and partner agencies in institutionalizing more significant measures to uplift the lives of our people from the oppression of poverty and marginalization.
