A Message from the Senate President

I have always believed that the strength of every reputable institution is reflected by its people. How we were perceived outside is exactly how we are and should be inside this august chamber.

It is in this context that today, in celebration of the 103rd anniversary of the Senate, I salute and congratulate all employees, senators' staff, consultants and support personnel for your dedication and hard work that have helped this esteemed institution to continue to soar with consistent high trust ratings over the years.

This year, I would like to give credit where credit is due, and acknowledge the hearts and souls whose services have been integral in keeping the Senate independent, productive and transparent.

As we move forward to more productive days ahead, may we always remember that we represent those whose voices will never be heard and whose battles cannot be fought as we plod on to make better the lives of those who remain hopeful that our nation will be great again.
