Bong Go welcomes assistance coming in to support the PH anti-drug war

Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go said on Thursday, November 14, that the administration is open to receive assistance from any person, party or country that is willing to help in the campaign against illegal drugs.

He emphasized, however, his belief that the problem can only be solved through tough measures and concrete action.

Go added that he welcomes the assistance of the United States in the Philippines' campaign against illegal drugs, after Vice President Leni Robredo discussed the campaign with some United States embassy officials on November 13.

"Kung makakatulong po ang US sa kanilang intelligence gathering or sa research, why not?" Go said.

President Rodrigo Duterte recently designated Robredo as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD), after she said that the administration's war against drugs is "not working."
