Dispatch from Crame No. 886:
Sen. Leila M. de Lima's statement on the Lifting of the Nonsensical Motorcycle Barrier Rule

8/20/20

At last, they realized the stupidity of such a rule. It brings to the fore the "quality" of the deliberative process within the IATF in particular, and within the Duterte Cabinet, in general.

Whose idea was that? Nobody objected? Was that ever the subject of a focused discussion or due deliberation? Were there expert consultations?

Married and live-in couples share intimate moments in the privacy of their homes. The idea of "separating" them momentarily as a supposedly health protocol, via the motorcycle barrier when they travel, defies basic common sense. It's as stupid as it can get.

Please naman: no more brainless, half-churned, and experimental solutions for the health crisis.
