DELA ROSA SUPPORTS SAN MIGUEL AEROCITY INC. FRANCHISE, ACKNOWLEDGES KEY ROLE OF PRIVATE SECTOR IN NATION-BUILDING

Senator Ronald 'Bato' Dela Rosa underscored the vital role of the private sector in nation- building as he expressed support for the passage of a legislation that will build a world- class airport in the province of Bulacan.

In explaining his affirmative vote for House Bill No. 7507 or the San Miguel Aerocity Inc. Franchise, Dela Rosa recognized that the government alone cannot cater to all the essential needs of all Filipinos.

"As we all know, the role of the private sector in nation-building is indispensable. The government alone cannot provide all the essential social services to uplift the lives of our people without the support and vital participation of the private sector."

Dela Rosa also urged other businesses in the private sector to actively participate in nation-building and providing more jobs for Filipinos.

"I hope that our prompt but rigorous deliberation and passage of this bill will inspire our partners in the private sector to further help the government in improving its needed infrastructure to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth," Dela Rosa said.

"We hope that many private investors and businesses will follow the footsteps of San Miguel Aerocity, Inc. in providing infrastructure, creating thousands of jobs and contributing revenues for the operation of the government," the senator added.

The senator also expressed gratitude to the San Miguel Corporation for spearheading the Bulacan airport project that will not only benefit the people of Bulacan and its nearby provinces, but the entire country as well.

"To the San Miguel Corporation, thank you for doing this for our country and our people. Let this airport be the runway where our people's dreams and aspirations shall take flight," Dela Rosa ended.
