Dispatch from Crame No. 1,054:
Sen. Leila M. de Lima on the red-tagging of Senate union

4/8/21

Is it just a coincidence that after some Senators called out the government's failed COVID-19 response, the Intel Chief would go on a red-tagging rampage against the Senate and its employees? Or is this a sinister attempt to create a rubber stamp Senate as Duterte and his minions try to cling desperately to a crumbling regime?

My office has been working closely with the union in upholding the rights of Senate employees.

I've known Rosel, the union president, for her integrity and dedication in the service of her fellow employees. SENADO is not pro-communist, it is pro-employees' rights. Pinanindigan na talaga nila na we have a government of trolls manned by no less than its Intel Chief.

Dir. Monteagudo, what a waste of intel funds lalo na sa panahon na gutom at nagkakasakit ang mga tao. But it seems that peddling lies has become part of your sworn duty to protect your president. ###
